SARDEGNA INFINITA GRAVEL: BIKEPACKING & CAMP
What awaits you...
A guided bikepacking adventure under the stars, with that feeling of freedom that only the bike–tent–bags combination can give.
7 days in the Sardinia you don’t expect, among dirt roads, granite canyons, rural communities, endless silences, and authentic encounters.
From the Gulf of Cagliari to the inland and back, along a figure-eight-shaped route: an invitation to slow down, pedal, and reconnect. With yourself, with nature, with the people of the land.
NB: The tour runs with a minimum of 8 participants confirmed at least 35 days in advance.
Do not book flights/ferries until you receive confirmation.
Fill out the form, pay the deposit, and you will receive updates about the group.
WHAT STYLE IS THIS ADVENTURE
Collaborative spirit
Reconnecting also means rediscovering the value of collaboration. On these trips there are no clients/suppliers, but people sharing an adventure. Each day we take a moment to organize ourselves: someone sets up the shower, someone dismantles the camp toilet, someone rings the wake-up call, someone helps in the kitchen. Small actions that make a difference. We experience another way of being together—more human, simpler, more genuine. A small community that lasts just a few days but leaves a mark.

Sleeping under the stars
For four nights we will live outdoors, with our heads in dreams and our eyes among the stars. But don’t worry: we bivouac safely, hosted by people we know who are part of the RiconNetTiAmo network. Comfort is basic, the atmosphere priceless. And for two nights we’ll also have a real bed waiting for us!
Where you feel at home
We stop with those who do things with passion, who safeguard the territory and put their heart and hands into it every day. They are people and projects that are part of the RiconNetTiAmo network: they welcome us, share their stories, and make us feel at home. Riding in this spirit changes everything. It’s no longer just a journey—it’s one encounter after another, a connection that lasts.

ITINERARY
Meeting point:
RiconNetTiAmo Hub
28 KM – 140 M+ optional, if you start riding from Cagliari
We meet at the RiconNetTiAmo Hub. Meet your guides and fellow adventurers. We prepare bikes and tents over a beer, some chit-chat, and chill music with a sea view. Tour presentation at sunset. And dinner? We prepare it together, just like travel companions do.
Overnight: in tent
Meals: welcome dinner
Notes: the tour officially starts from H14.30
56km - 990m+
After sampling the countryside of several small Sardinian villages, we’ll climb along a quiet, solitary road to the heart of the Gerrei. The effort melts away in front of a hot meal and the cheese made by Elisa, our amazing host for the day.
Overnight: in tent
Meals: Cyclist’s Breakfast, Dinner
62KM - 1.300M+
We cross solitary valleys on dirt roads made for losing yourself in thought, following the Flumendosa River up to the plateau, through climbs and views that are worth every stop. Waiting for us is Agostino with his “albergo diffuso” (a type of hotel spread across multiple buildings in a village), a visit to the house museum, and a Sardinian dinner that brings you back to life—followed by a real bed.
Overnight: Albergo Diffuso
Meals: Cyclist’s Breakfast, Traditional Sardinian Dinner
59km - 750m+
Today, the dirt roads steal the show—a pure joy for anyone who loves getting their wheels dusty. Along the way, ancient nuraghi proudly recognized by UNESCO. In the afternoon, Umberto awaits us at his cozy BnB nestled in a historic house in the heart of Trexenta, once the granary of Rome.
Overnight: BNB Historical House
Meals: Cyclist’s Breakfast, Dinner
90km - 1.350m+
Today we descend more than we climb. A long, panoramic stage that closes the first loop of the infinity. Along the way, you’ll spot Italy’s largest radiotelescope and, in the distance, the deep blue of the east coast. We return to camping, hosted by Gigo, Anastasia & Co., the warm souls of the intentional community welcoming us for two nights.
Overnight: Tents at the Intentional Community
Meals: Cyclist’s Breakfast, Dinner
30KM - 300M+
After breakfast, we’ll spend a couple of hours helping out the intentional community — the perfect excuse to get to know them better, exchange a few words, and share simple gestures. Then, it’s time to switch to relax mode: swimsuit packed and heading for the sea. In the evening, our last dinner together by the fire — a song starts, maybe just eyes on the sky... everyone, in their own way.
Overnight: Tents at the Intentional Community
Meals: Cyclist’s Breakfast, Dinner
36KM - 650M+
We close in style, pedaling along the legendary old SS125: an inland road weaving through spectacular canyons, granite walls, and silences that feel like magic. The infinity loop completes as we return to the RiconNetTiAmo Hub. Raise your glasses: we made it! Hugs, goodbyes, and transfers for those heading back.
The bike journey ends here. The one inside you? Who knows...
Meals: breakfast of the cyclist, Final toast
NOTES: The tour is expected to finish by 3 PM. If you have a flight or ferry today, better plan for after 5 PM so you can enjoy everything — including the toast — at your own pace!

FAQ/NOTES
Wondering if this tour is right for you? Here are some helpful questions to figure it out together:
- Have you carefully checked the itinerary? Do you feel ready to ride the distances and elevation gains planned?
- Are you used to spending several hours in the saddle, including long climbs and gravel roads?
- Have you already done at least one multi-day bike trip with bags?
- Do you like the idea of cycling 5–6 hours a day, at a relaxed pace but without shortcuts?
- Can you enjoy the effort when it’s shared, even if the weather or terrain aren’t perfect?
- Do you have any medical conditions or current injuries? Let us know before departure — it’s important for your safety, especially since the tour crosses remote areas.
Se hai risposto "sì" a (quasi) tutto: sei nel posto giusto.
If you have doubts, write to us — better to talk before than after!
Note: This isn’t a race, but it’s not a Sunday ride either. You need good fitness, adaptability, and a team spirit. The pace is easygoing, but the route (and Sardinia) don’t give anything away for free.
Two wildcards at your disposal:
– Think it’s too much? Consider an e-bike.
– If one day you struggle, the support van is always there.

There are many ways to gear up your bike for adventure. The simplest? A rear rack and two waterproof bags of 30 liters each—and you’re ready to roll.
If you’re already deep into bikepacking, you know: frame bags, seat bags, handlebar bags... and a whole new world opens up.
You don’t need top-brand gear; what matters is that everything is securely fixed, , water resistant and carefully distributed. No big bags or heavy backpacks on your shoulders
Most importantly, test everything in advance on your bike.
The tour takes place on a mix of asphalt, gravel roads, and more technical dirt tracks: you need a bike ready for adventure.
If you bring your own bike
It can be a Gravel BIKE , a hardtail MTB or a trekking/hybrid bike for cycle touring/adventure.
It’s important to have tires at least 40/42mm wide and very easy gearing to handle long climbs.
Better if you’ve already tested it with bags.
Make sure your bike is in excellent condition: brakes, drivetrain, tires, and inner tubes or tubeless sealant all in good shape,
because for one week it’ll be your trusted companion.
We’ll have some basic tools and spare parts with us, but if you have special components (e.g., electronic shifting, unusual spokes or wheels, belt drive...)
bring any specific tools or spare parts you might need.Once on the road, bike shops are few and far between..
We also recommend carrying a personal mini kit with spare tubes/tubeless kit, tire levers, multitool, pump, and your bike’s spare derailleur hanger.
If you want to rent

If you plan to rent: contact them early! Bikes go fast in the high season.
Of course, you’re free to choose other rental shops too—the important thing is to have a bike that’s suitable and ready for anything.
